Oil on canvas. 30 x 60 cm. Depicts two on-site alla prima paintings of the mountains overlooking Lauerzersee resp Lake Luzern. The LHS morning view was painted between 9.30 -11.hrs and the RHS afternoon view between 14:30 and 16:00 hrs. The challenge was to catch the rapidly changing light of the two views on the same canvas without messing them up (i.e. one baddy messes the other up too!). The Mythen is basically the local Matterhorn type peak and attracts many climbers.ht
