Suki and Barney

I like this. The fur is so well done.

Thank you Lewis, it was harder than I thought with Suki’s curly coat and Barney’s straight and wavy bits, tried to keep it as simple as possible but probably fiddled more than I should!

Absolutely delightful Katy

Really good Katy, a lovely double portrait

A couple of beauties Katy and a lovely memory to have. They look so companionable together.

Beautiful memory and a lovely expression captured in both of them. A great amount of detail - you succeeded in showing us exactly how adorable this pair was.

How lovely are these! Such a good portrait of these companions and you can almost reach out and stroke their fur.

That’s so lovely. Beautiful way to remember them

Thank you for the lovely comments, but don’t be fooled by the cute looking Suki, she ruled my dad completely and was very stubborn but he adored her! When he died we had some reservations but came to love her too.

Lovely portrait Katy! When I read your narrative and look at your work it directly complements the character beautifully!

Gorgeous pooches. Not gone, just out of sight, not out of the heart.

Well Katy your fiddling was clearly in tune! What a delightful picture. Gorgeous pastel work. I don't do enough pastel myself. One day I might do a portrait of my long-lost GSD, 'Tosca'. Not a female, and I don't know who named him, but he was a great pal.

Soft pastel in Ingres paper, 9” x 12” of Suki the Bijon and Barney the Westie, from a photo taken around 2010. We inherited Suki from my dad and Barney belonged to friends. Both dogs long gone.
