Walking the Dog

Comments

I like the scale and depth you've got here - you could add to it maybe with a bit more work on the foreground, but then; you don't want to fiddle with it, either. It's a very enjoyable painting, just as it is.

Thank you Robert for your positive comments about scale and depth, I’ll have a think about foreground detail but I can get in a ‘zone’ when fiddling and the next thing I know I reach for the gesso in a temper and paint out the lot!

Beautifully painted Katy, I particularly like how you have painted the trees, superb colours.

The detail of the tree is nice. But most important for me is the scale, the trees are important, the dog and the walker are just visitors!

Thank you Paul and Regloh, I love painting silver birch trees.

I feel as if I’m walking into the painting amongst those glorious smells and trees. Love it Katy.

Thank you Carole, I’m overwhelmed by lovely comments for this painting😀

I love your painting Katy as it has impact and colour. Clever placing of the girl with her dog too very interesting. Gill

Thank you Gill, the girl (me without the grey hair ha ha) and Ozzy were an afterthought, it was going to be a deer but I’m happy with this.

Love the textures in the trees
