Looks like a good way to go; Seago used broad sweeps of the brush to achieve his ends, and a lot of white paint (lead white, I suspect). And precious little medium - looking at some of his paintings, I suspect he used turps and not much else. He would, I think, have used more lights in the sky, but I like the strong sculptural shapes of the two main trees, and just suggest (as you may well intend to anyway) that you introduce more strong lights in the foreground and foliage. A strong composition with a lot of potential: look forward to seeing the end result.

Another shot at a similar Seago subject. This time I am going to close the gap on the right of the tree, and take the path around to the left. Maybe I will put a signpost near the tree, and call the picture 'The Finger Post'.. John
