This really is not a failure... looks misty and cold. I love mixed media I spend my life rescuing paintings .

i think this stands alone as a painting in its own right...I like it very much.

Thank you for the positive comments. I wouldn't say I am going over to mixed-media entirely, but it is something to consider between paintings. Besides I have just stretched a couple of canvases, and prepped a few boards, so I am going to be up to my ears in oils. And Jeannette, you can't thicken the gravy with watercolour! EWven if it's burnt umber! Regards John
