This really is not a failure... looks misty and cold. I love mixed media I spend my life rescuing paintings .

John, I love this, putting the pastel over looks great. I must try this with all my failed watercolours (and there are plenty)!

I like this very much. I am also a fan of mixed media. Very well done. When I get the time I shall browse your portfolio properly. Have to attend to the dinner & paint at the same time!

Thank you for the positive comments. I wouldn't say I am going over to mixed-media entirely, but it is something to consider between paintings. Besides I have just stretched a couple of canvases, and prepped a few boards, so I am going to be up to my ears in oils. And Jeannette, you can't thicken the gravy with watercolour! EWven if it's burnt umber! Regards John
