Gigha Shore
This landscape in ink and coloured pencil was inspired by a visit to the small scottish island of Gigha, a short distance from Kintyre. Its unspoilt shoreline teemed with wild plants, which I set against the dramatic rock formations that sloped into the sea. I used mark-making in ink, layers of coloured pencil, embossing and lifting out to interpret the features in a way that I hope gives a good sense of place. It's one of my personal favourites.
