Waterlogged Woodland

One of three paintings I entered for the TALP Open. Unfortunately, not to be chosen by the judges but still one of my favourite paintings and I believe one of my best. It’s the largest I’ve done at 57cm x 41cm and took me 60 hours to complete. I started painting ‘everything’, every leaf, twig and reflection and realised it was to be a tester on my resolve to finish. Maybe that’s why I’m so fond of it, it was such a challenge and reminds me of those equally challenging weeks and months over lockdown.
