Ps. The distant view is sea just in case you are confused :)

Love your artwork Carole, amazing

I can see the oriana in the distance...

This is great Carole, I love your use of texture and the colours are super. I have had a look at your gallery and I think your flower paintings are fab. I also enjoy floral painting.

Thanks all for your kind encouragement. Thanks Margaret I am just looking at yours;)

Turned out all right. Really like those textures and some nice earthy colours.

You are making good use of your texture paste Carole, this is great, not rubbishy at all. Like the touch of the gauze.

This is definitely NOT 'rubbishy' Carole!! You've used the texture paste really well. I especially love the foreground- the colours are wonderful.

Absolutely love this Carole!!!

Lovely textures going on here Carole- well done

It's certainly not rubbish, I like it enormously, love the Sienna colours in the foreground.

Rubbishy it ain't, superb a better description. Strong colours.define the foreground and lovely recession to the cliffs. A real nice semi abstract.

Eck! you have all made my day, so very kind thank you.

Nice one, Carole......stood out immediately in the gallery postings. I was surprised when I saw your name next to it as it's very different from your botanical paintings!! A new direction? More please.

What do you mean Rubishy? Whisht woman ... its gorgeous.

Not rubbish at all Carole....inspiring!

Scrolling through the thumbnails, the wonderful textures in this really caught my eye. Lovely Diana

Not at all "rubbishy" Carole. As you know I love texture and this is really interesting.

No rubbish in sight Carole! A gorgeous view with lovely colours. Well done with experimenting!

It doesn't look rubbishy to me Carole. I wouldn't have the nerve to do this. Quite striking.

Thank you I feel very encouraged to do more! I appreciate your comments very much all.

Love the textures really good picture

This works really well Carole.

This is beautiful, Carole. The texturing quite bold and yet delicate at the same time. I've sat looking at this for the last few minutes!

I'm very humbled by your kind comments thank you. My family are not quite art orientated so difficult to get an honest opinion! I rely on your comments very much so thanks. Jenny I'm not an expert on texture stuff but the Daler Rowney stuff is acrylic based and doesn't take watercolour readily gesso takes it a bit better. We should hear from the experts on here?

Ps. Gesso secures the collage bits as good as DR texture paste though, but I'm sure you found this out.

Thanks Carole, I might get some and give it a go. Sounds like it might be best for small areas - when I use gesso I normally use it as a base for the whole painting. Even gesso can be a bit tricky with watercolour, but I guess it's not surprising since these mediums were really designed for use with acrylics.

Yes that's right Jenny, this is where acrylic inks help out as I can't get on with acrylic paint very well.

You amaze me Carole....this is just fantastic....so different.....great colours & texture. Wish I had your confidence to experiment more ....still trying to get to grips with watercolour! :)

ThNk you Sylvia, doesn't happen very often!

Good to experiment and this has worked very well.

Certainly not rubbish, love the foreground, so glad you didn't bin it!

Thanks Stephen and Fred very kind.

Wow.....I love the textures.... Amazing Carole

I love the foreground textures Carole. Very effective.

Thank you Ruthy and Sarah ;)

Your paintings always SPARKLE Carole. A pleasure to look at as always.

Thank you George what a kind comment I appreciate it.

This is gorgeous Carole, colours and texture perfect.

The mixed media work well Carole. Worth investigating more. It would be easier doing it with acrylic because you can then overlay as many times as you like. I find an underlay colour yellow at least in the bottom half is good for an overlay ground.

Not rubbishy at all Carole - very inspired I'd say

Thank you Audrey, John and Lynne I appreciate your comments. John thanks for the advice I will take it on board, will give it a go ;)

Carole, you are truly an artist! I have looked at all your galleries, and you Wow me...... :-) Thanks for all your comments on my work.... Joy Björk

From imagination. Texture paste, watercolour, inks and gauze. Bit rubbishy but enjoyed making it up
