Beautifully done Carole

Delicate and beautifully painted Carole, I can't imagine how you can do this without a drawing!

How do you keep doing this they are so simple but impressive

You're so clever Carole, roses are difficult enough with all those petals without making it harder for yourself by going straight in with the brush and what a lovely pink. These are gorgeous.

Thanks John and Christine. Used a watery pink initially Christine, if the stroke ok put more colour on. It is easy to wash the colour away if it is wrong. Ps I did overwork the rose on the right I think, was trying to make it slightly more colourful but kept messing! Tut!

Thanks Val I really hopeless at roses that's why I went straight in with brush, I thought just have a go. The plank is Google old permanent rose.

What! I didn't say that! The pink is good old permanent rose😆😆

I love the straight in with the brush method, it gives a beautifully fresh result and leaves space for imagination. Lovely rose Carole!

The plank Carole ?? Thought you'd lost it for a minute there LOL Is it W & N permanent rose? The tube I have at the moment seems much stronger than it usually is.

Agree with all beautiful Carole

The right hand rose...in your opinion overdone, in mine, not. It gives good variation. The centre of the rose is especially good.

Such delicacy - lovely study Carole

Thanks Satu and Dennis. I'm a plank Val :(. Yes it is WN pigment quinacridone pv 19 on tube.

I can only echo Marjorie's comments Carole, Leo think you are so good at botanicals.

Marvellous Carole , beautiful technique

You are all very kind with your encouraging comments. Thanks Marjorie for saying it is not overdone🤔

Soft, delicate and beautifully painted...not to mention very brave to go straight in with the brush....and what a result!

Thanks Fiona! I think you often do free hand painting don't you? and look at your lovely landscapes:)
