Well it's definitely different and fun to experiment.

Looking good though Fiona, it takes time to learn all the different techniques which I am sure you will do. I am afraid I have not been on line for quite some tom so I am sure that I have missed a lot of yours and other great works, will try to catch up on most at some time.

This really shows the anguish you were trying to express in your original sketches Fiona. I really must read up on monoprinting to understand what is involved.

A beautifully striking piece of work Fiona. The small touch of colour makes it all so powerful.

I don't fully understand this method of work Fiona but I can see you are not afraid to 'have a go'. Keep at it!

A great result, Fiona. Very impressive work.

Sounds like an interesting combination of media and an effective result. I like the way you’ve portrayed the fabric/s.

Well, it looks very good to me as it conveys the hardship I think you were aiming for. Great colours. Only you know what it was you wanted!

Very innovative, a bit haunting and just great Fiona!

A very good monoprint Fiona, not as easy to do without a press, which I know you don't have. You've managed to include some textural elements which add interest. Altogether a decent piece, well done for experimenting.

Thank you all very much for your thoughts and comments, very much appreciated. I did an offset carbon print which I’ll post, which is moderately better than this one. Thanks again!

Fiona you have a wonderful range of skills. I think this has turned out well.

Yeah..the girl done good! I'm not sure how you did this but it's an excellent result Fiona. I like that tinge of colour and textures. Result I'd say!!

Sandra many thanks. It isn’t what I saw in my head.....when is it ? Lol Thanks Louise! I hope you will be looking in on the gallery tomorrow, I’ve done that ‘selfie’ you requested!

What a beautiful result, Fiona. Love the limited colour scheme.

LOOKS GREAT AND WELL DONE FOR TRYING ALL THESE DIFFERENT TECHNIQUES

Really clever work Fiona, besides you have the hard life written all over her face her garb is magnificent.

Thank you very much Mia, Dennis, Carole for your lovely feedback. It’s her clothing that I’m most satisfied with....that was the easy bit! Lol

Simply WOW! fabulous monoprint Fiona.

Thank you very much Thalia.

If Picasso had done this, it would be hailed as a work of genius. You and I have to try harder to achieve the same level of acclaim - but I'd not be disappointed in this AT ALL. I think it works very well. If I weren't as mean as tongs, I'd offer to buy it from you...

Must have missed this work. You certainly enjoy going as they say "outside the box" .Well done.

Robert that is a very fine compliment, thank you. If I weren’t as mean as tongs, I’d give it to you as a gift...... Joking apart, if you would like it, it’s yours. It’s only going in my elaborate filing system.....the back of the cupboard or the bottom of the draw! Thanks Richard, I must admit after all the supportive comments on this, I’m beginning to warm to it....just a little.

The grey and orange works magic! Must be gypsy magic! I can't see anything that's not pleasing about this.

Thanks Ibolya, I think I was disappointed because it didn’t turn out like the picture in my head, which happens most of the time really. However, I usually don’t bother about that now, I treat it as a happy surprise!

Black & orange printers ink with added oil pastel. Based on previous pencil sketches, still tried to catch the ‘hard life’ look, not easy to do with monoprinting. I did a couple of different techniques but I’m disappointed in all three! Not to worry, I always learn something....that being, you’ve got to be quick and have it planned in your head before you lay the ink on the plate!
