Forgot to add, all done with a knife.

Very pretty pale blue with salmon pink, Fiona - this would make a good fabric design as well as an effective painting

This has a lovely looseness to it Fiona.

Lovely work Fiona, I like your style.

That was quick! I came back to have another look at it myself because I think it could be enhanced with some stronger colour here and there? Any thoughts? Thanks for your comments Pat, Marjorie, very kind.

Helen, I was hoping that's how they would look...thank you. Thank you very much Glennis, it's a bit different for me isn't it.

I loved your blue poppies Fiona and this is even better. Beautiful colours and the birds flying above give it a light and airy feel.

The two colours compliment each other beautifully and I love your informal poppies. A wonderful sight under a perfect blue sky.

Well done with that cerulean it was crying out to be used Fiona

Very impressive , you're the queen of the knife :) , lovely sense of life , light and movement

They look great against the blue Fiona.

I must have missed this one yesterday, so here goes... Actually it's all been said, a good quick knife painting with lots of expression and passion (I hope), well done Fiona. That seagull on the right looks a bit overweight, he could burst at any time.

Christine, Thea, Dennis, Dermot, Carole and Alan thank you all very much for your comments, very much appreciated. Alan, it's not a seagull, it's a Canada goose. Lol

Love this Fiona….your style has so much movement! Wish I could get my work to look more carefree! :-)

Gosh you have been busy, these poppies would make a great set.

Lovely. I see a face and a hand in the sky. Love it!

Great work Fiona - now put it in a white frame.

Thanks very much Sarah, Val, Gudrun and Frank, very kind of you to leave such generous comments. Frank, you know that's just what I was thinking, glad you agree!
Gudrun, that's spookey, hadn't noticed that before.
Val I'll have to wait until the other poppies flower to make the set!
Sarah, you can be as carefree, have you tried using a knife with your opposite hand?
I missed this, Fiona, but am glad I found it. Great knife work, made to look easy - but isn't! Well done! x

I really love how your oils have developed, Fiona! I love the fresh vibrancy of this piece.

A bit more blue, with a touch of orange. Couldn't pass up the opportunity to use a bit more of the tube of Cerulean! And as it happens, I have orange poppies flowering in the garden at the moment too. Acrylic on mount board.
