Quite some piggy Fiona. With very good use of the medium.

How lovely - both the drawing and your experience

Super study Fiona. Beautifull use of charcoal and the white pastel really defines the tasty little creature.

Great stuff Fiona. Love it!

Super charcoal picture, nicely done.

Thank you very much John, Heather, George, Sarah, and Stephen, so pleased you like it.

Great charcoal work Fiona.

You’ve captured his rebellious nature Fiona, so well. What a sight it must be to have then running towards you.

It’s a great sketch Fiona , I can imagine them queuing up for the bits you take them , probably ore tasty than their usual diet.

Who doesn't like a pig, fabulous Fiona

Loose, yet very lifelike.

Super charcoal Fiona.

Beautifully drawn!

Brilliant, Fiona! You and your wildlife! You’ e immortalised this little piggy. And a great tonal sketch. ( I mentioned you on the forum just now)

Andrew, Carole, Paul, Russell, David, Denise, Anne, Marjorie….I do appreciate your support and comments on my wee piggy. Carole, there is a 4ft Rylock fence between them and me! Marjorie, I’ve got plenty of photo’s to indulge my piggy interest. I’ll tell you a secret, they like a few slugs in their diet too, solves my problem of what to do with the hundreds I collect in the garden! I think that’s why they like me 😉 plus, I can get some really good close up shots. I’ll check the forum.

I love pigs and this is very special, superb work Fiona.!

Great sketch, full of character.

Jules is looking well these days… Love the style and overall approach!

Fiona, the way you’ve combined powdered and willow charcoal on the grey paper is very effective. You’ve captured the form and that 'fed up' posture perfectly—it’s a great technical study of character. The white pastel highlights really bring the whole piece to life. Great work on turning a quick photo into such a solid drawing.

You've caught his mood beautifully Fiona, and what an apt title.

How lovely to have these little neighbours Fiona. You captured him very well, he is so cute! I would have charcoal everywhere as I have found in the past!

You use charcoal so effectively Fiona.

May I add my belated words of praise - pigs are very drawable, if that's a word: so many curves, bulk, and with a readable expression, very often. I like everything about your drawing, from the way you've caught his shape, to the indications of bits of grass and twigs with a minimum number of marks from your charcoal and, presumably, eraser.

This is wonderful Fiona -so alive. Such a brilliant portrayal of a cheeky fella!

My grateful thanks you for your great comments.…….Valerie, Lynda, Alan, (I’m keeping him well fed Al) Ishtal very kind of you, Sandra, Carole I think they are cute too, Shaun, Robert I’m glad you have mentioned that I captured the ‘fed up’ look. Thank you so much Carol, lovely to see your comment. X

Powdered & willow charcoal with white pastel on Strathmore grey. Every year from April to October there are a dozen or so of pigs roaming free in the woods near me. They are all different sizes and colours, some are shy but others have no fear! I took a photo of this one because it looked so fed up, it just plonked its bottom down as if in protest of the hot weather. I take them a few kitchen scraps now and again and if they are not too far in the wood……they come a running!
