Fiona your getting better and better every time you post , this is stunning and so well painted. You certainly have caught the moment and the atmosphere beautifully. More please miss.

Super trees .. I like the ghostly ones on the horizon as well as the foreground ones.

Another super watercolour indeed. Agree with Paul's assesment Fiona. Keep it going.

Brrrr.... that does look cold, Fiona. You have captured the whole scene so well!!

I like everything about your painting Fiona; very atmospheric. I especially like the foreground trees and the bits of twig poking through the snow. I can almost feel the cold!

Another delightful work, I love the way you suggest the foreground growth with a few lines.

It's cold, so I'm staying home ;) I'm being lucky having 6 days off, but tomorrow is the last day, and then at Wednesday I'm back to work... I'm always saying I don't feel for watercolours, so I never had tried it, but I'm always appreciate looking at arts !!! Your painting is full of nicely achieved snowy atmosphere, rich with details, and beauty of wintery colours!

Love the clever suggestion of background trees and the rugged landscape Fiona.

Spot on with the feeling of cold Fiona, it's ****** freezing here! Love the winter blue sky and the distant trees behind the foreground dead undergrowth.

Wonderful marks and palette. I like the misty trees too. Lovely painting F.

Very well painted Fiona, as Paul has said, you are making constant progress, looking forward to even better to come in ‘23.

Sooooo cold Fiona.

Very effective mixture of tones & colours.

Lovely tones Fiona, love the warms against cools.

That's a very lovely painting, seriously impressed you are braving the cold weather!

Wow, Fiona, this is super!

Another excellent seasonal painting Fiona with lovely contrasting warm and cool colours. Do you have those gloves with the fingers cut out?

This is really nice Fiona. I like the contrasts between the subtle colour blends and your mark making.

Well you’ve achieved some high accolades here… the overall palette has a nice feel so a good job done… split around 50/50, intentional?

You have captured the view beautifully Fiona. Lovely ink markings and have to echo everything else that has already been said! x Hope you had a heated fleece on!

Your so good at these winter landscapes Fiona. Like very much the colours and the background.

My thanks to you all for your uplifting and supportive feedback, you are a kind and generous lot! PogArt, enjoy your last day off! Val, -12 last night!! Marjorie, yes! I bought them at a ….don’t laugh….Rampant Yak fair in Ullapool nearly twenty years ago. Of course Alan, everything I do is intentionally. 🤭 Thanks again everyone x

I think you have captured the look and feel of the cold spell we are all experiencing Fiona, and that’s magic! Love it.

Super sketch Fiona

I agree with Paul - you have painted a fabulous watercolour Fiona.

Beautiful and Paul has said it all

A beautiful painting, love it.

Really well done Fiona. The depth and contrasts are excellent

Love this Fiona. Great trees and colours and the softness in the distant trees is spot on.

Really lovely, Fiona - gorgeous wintery colours and love the trees!

Michael, Tessa, David, Shaun, Heather, Valerie, Martin, David, Anne……thank you lovely people for leaving such smashing comments.

Thanks Rachel!

Wonderful palette Fiona and it does look very cold!

Gosh this is so atmospheric - well done

Frank, Rachel…..thank you very much for your kind words. It was cold Frank, in fact I only painted a portion of the scene before me…..I thought that’s enough!

Lovely chilly painting,

Thank you Emma

Gorgeous colours in this Fiona. Love it!

Thank you very much Jennifer.

I like this. The restrained palette is very good. BTW. Not forward! Everyone loves praise. Lol.

We do indeed Rupert, especially when it is so personal to us, as our creations are. Thank you.

12”x12” watercolour and ink in sketchbook. It was the lovely burnt sienna reeds coming through the snow in the distance that attracted me, as well as the late afternoon clear sky colours…..it was very quiet…..and VERY cold!
