Unmistakeably yours Fiona, looks very chilly!

Oh that's lovely Fiona! Love the cool sky colours and beautiful brush work.

Many thanks Marjorie and Carole. The forecast for tonight is ice and snow, so I may be greeted with the real thing tomorrow morning.

Like this a lot Fiona it is so good.

Love the free approach in this image.

Nice one, Fiona, in your distinctive style, lovely mix of warm and cool colours.

Very recognisable style of Fiona Phipps .And very nice painting.

Paul, David, John, Jenny, Dennis......I do appreciate your positive feedback, thank you.

My eyesight ain't good - I passed this again and did a double take, thought it said " bannock"!

Lol.....with the amount of times I get tripped up with predictive text Marjorie, it’s quite possible. Or, if I could suggest, add a wee bit more tonic? Lol x

That tree is a wonderful focal point, Fiona, and yes, I knew it was a Phipps piece as soon as I saw it, which was late, judging by the comments. I really like and enjoy this painting and mix of colours. Bri

Nice fresh, loose work Fiona.

Wow. Looks really chilly. Beautiful scene.

Thank you Stephen and Carolyn for your lovely comments.

Maureen, thank you very much.

As always a lovely watercolour Fiona.

Thanks Barry!

You've really captured the colours and feeling of a snowy day with a looseness and simplicity that I can never seem to do.

Darren, thank you very much for your comment. It’s more by luck than judgement and not over doing it with the colour in snow I think.

Many thanks Dawn!

16”x12” watercolour on Saunders. Enjoyed a very fine carvery meal at the Bladnoch Inn last Sunday, which is situated by the bridge over the river Bladnoch. Walking back to the car I looked over the river and saw this tree against the skyline and couldn’t resist taking a quick photo with my phone. There wasn’t a flake of the white stuff around but I thought it would look okay as a snow scene. In the end it looks nothing like the photo, I’ve even moved the tree from the left to the right....lol.
