A beautiful and airy watercolour, Fiona. Like it very much!

It ca be difficult to capture untidiness Fiona, you've painted it well -love the Wintery palette.

That rigger brush is working well Fiona, a rather lovely fresh clean watercolour, well done!

Beautiful and fresh Fiona, super marks!

Agree with the others, Fiona, fresh and clean!

Nice sense of depth achieved in this piece Fiona.

Lovely Fiona.

Just spent the day working in the woodland ding some coppicing, and the opened this lovely painting what a good day.

Crisp and lovely, great distance Fiona.

Thank you all ever so much for your smashing comments and I’m pleased you like it. I used manganese blue and a little ultra marine for the sky, the grass areas are again manganese blue mixed with a raw sienna, raw umber and a touch of Indian yellow. I wanted to get a cool feel to the painting. Yes Alan, I have to use my rigger more these days, as my favourite brush with the long tapering hairs is all but worn down to a stub. It’s the only watercolour brush I’ve used for the last twelve years! It did everything, large belly for lots of water and a few long hairs for the finer lines. I must replace it, I’ll have to save up to fund the extravagance.

This is lovely Fiona and very loose.

Great, wonderful Fiona!

Frank, Cesare thank you both very much.

Delightful work, Fiona, light and delicate yet with a real strength.

Lovely, fresh painting with limited but very effective brushstrokes. Like the simplicity and the blue sky without threatening rain clouds. Hallelujah Fiona. We’re about to have a dry spell.

Lovely work again Fiona.

Very confident brush work Fiona...

Lovely light and fresh Fiona, great colours and sense of distance.

The love of these places shows. Gorgeous painting, and get a new brush.

Thank you all very much for your great comments, very much appreciated. I may ask Santa this year Gudrun, for a new brush!

Lovely fresh and bright painting Fiona. I like this very much.

12”x10” watercolour on Arches. I love these patchy and untidy small copse of trees and scrub. Straggly saplings, brambles and rough grass......lovely.
