Gorgeous colours Fiona, super translucence in the foreground water, lovely light touch in rendering the boats, lovely to see you posting again

Lovely still, misty effect Fiona!

I'm running out of superlatives! This is, again, just superb, Fiona. Lovely fresh colours and great composition. Well done! (You are, no doubt, making Jem Bowden quite jealous!!).

I love the blending and colours, as you said a simple but very clean and effective painting. :-)

This works well Fiona, I especially like those bright, redish boats on the left.

Very pretty painting Fiona.

Thank you very much Ros, Louise, Lionel, Paul, Stephen, Helen and Debs for all your lovely comments!

What lovely portfolios Fiona. I would love to be able to paint like you. They are very good indeed. Thank you for your lovely comment on my Mr. Gibbs. Much appreciated.

The dawn of another lovely Scottish day with the mist slowly rising off the loch..............I'm no good at poetry but this is poetry in paint :) Soft light, simple composition, just beautiful.

Lovely watery watercolour Fiona!

This is very lovely, Fiona, and looks very confidently painted, too - hurrah! The touch of red on the boats really lifts the painting and the super clean smooth washes add to the overall effect of a very calm, misty morning. Really well done!

Ethereal and lovely colours and washes, something I am not practised at!

Thank you Isobel you are very kind. Val, you're a poet and you didn't know it! What a lovely thing to say......thank you.

Many thanks Carole much appreciated. Thea.......confident........me? Yes it looks that way doesn't it, I must admit I do find these kind of paintings easier to do than most. Gudrun, you should have a go, especially as you have your watercolours to hand at the moment. Thank you all.

Just love your delicate watercolours, lovely atmosphere, you asked how long it takes me to do a drawing, well it usually takes about 8 hrs in two four hour stints.

Thank you Ulrike for taking the time to comment. Thanks Karyl, I wish I had the patience to spend that much time on a subject. Your patience really pays off, you produce stunning drawings.

This has got an extraordinary feeling Fiona! A great emptiness, cold and mysterious. Love it!

Stunning, Fiona! Love the brushwork - it adds so much movement and life to the painting.

Satu, Seok many thanks to you both, really appreciate your comments.

Ah, Fiona....I love the "wavy" line of from the boating alignment....skillful touch that truly makes you feel the water's movement

your paintings tell such a story with clear simplicity - I love them.
