That is very good! Particularly the tail feathers!!

Always like a good owl

Looks sleepy still, not too disturbed Paul. Lovely feather markings.

Great character Paul!

Thank you David, Heather, Carole and Alan fir your kind comments. I unfortunately had to finish it off left handed so lost some of the ability to make get the feathers done as I wanted but it’s turned out not to bad .

He's lovely, the branch is really well painted also.

Thank you Denise for you kind comment it very much appreciated.

Super result considering the challenges Paul….good job.

Lovely! I like owls a lot

Very nice Paul. Has lots of character

Many thanks for your comments Fiona, Anne and Faye.

Wonderful markings and pose Dixie!

Thanks Moira and Tessa for your comment they ate appreciated.

This is lovely Paul and the title fits so well with the expression on the owls face . It looks like a tawny owl .

All that beautifully captured textures really add depth and character to the piece. Nicely done, Paul.

Thank you Dennis and Seok for you kind comments. Yes Dennis it is a young tawny owl, hence the smallness and the tatty feathers . It was also the reason it looked confused and sleepy, I would think it’s not long been evicted from the family nest.

Another good 'un, Dixie. Seems that using the 'wrong' hand is no problem for you. I tried it once, for the 'fun' of it, and didn't do nearly as well as you.

Thanks Lew , it’s ok using the wrong hand if it something like this , I would not like to try doing the intricate details you do , that’s for sure.

Lovely, Paul, full of character.

Thanks Jenny for your kind comment.

A watercolour painting about a4 in size , used a tiny bit of white acrylic. About ten days ago I hear an owl in the trees at the bottom of the garden, it was not quite full darkness. I went out to look and managed a very fuzzy photo , I decided to do a watercolour of the very young tawny who seemed very confused with everything around . Done from memory, finish it off today bit scruffy as using left hand.
