Wow, Paul another super painting of a barn owl! Hope you are not still fed up as this is so good! I love the contrast in colours between the owl and the trees.

Awww lovely painting and captured well. Don't feel fed up. Your a great Artist and I seeing your paintings. Keep going

Thank you David and Faye for your kind comments they are appreciated. It will pass Faye just one of those days we all have now and then.

We all have those days Paul. They usually pass quickly. A really good composition that works so well with the Owl and the trees in the back ground Paul. Excellent detail and info as always.

Excellent Paul!

Great treatment of the trees to go with the very good Owl.

Absolutely and makes us who we are 😊

This is really good, Paul and I like the background too which sets the owl off so well.

This looks fantastic Paul.

Thank your , Chris, Alan,Richard, Faye, Anne and Denise for your kind and encouraging comments, they are always appreciated.

Love the silence of Barn owls they sort of sneak up on you . Nice painting.

The owl is very gracefully painted in flight, against those elegant, background trees Paul.

Thanks Sylvia , the are almost silent to other creatures as well, definitely silent to the human ear. They have a special feather edge to the leading edge of their wings , that muffle the sound of the wind as they fly.

Thanks Carole, it came out as I imagined it for a change, I only use a fine outline for the owl and the n painted the details. I wanted it to look light and delicate as they do in life.

A serene paintings love the colours

Lovely graceful owl Paul, set off against those well depicted trees.

Love your owl paintings and subtle colours in this one.

Love the colours of the owl, concentrating on the painting can help you forget any problems for a while, keep at it,

Absolutely beautiful!

Super one Paul

Lovely - love the shape of the barn owl.

Thank you Hillary they are such beautiful graceful creatures. I love watching them and painting then , get moaned at for having to many drawings and paintings of them .

I hope I didn’t pass the fed up syndrome on to you after my last posting Paul! Lol. I wish I could paint something this good when I’m on form, it has the essence of this magical bird.

Thanks Fiona , no your not to blame just one of those odd day we have now and then. The sort where you can’t get started and can’t be bothered , the you plod along for a while . Didn’t stop me from painting in the end .

The movement you have captured is brilliant.

A12x9 inch watercolour on Bockingford 140lb paper. I’m having one of those day where I don’t know what to paint and feel fed up . Spent a pleasant hour and fifteen minutes putting this together, enjoyed doing it a lot. Seem to have a thing about painting owls at the moment , will go with it as it’s better than dithering about what to paint. Set in early evening before it’s too dark on a field margin with trees behind , barn owls don’t hunt in full dark normally but will if needed as they will in daylight.
