A spring morning walk

Super trees, Paul - Wish we had a walk like that nearby!

Your enjoyment shines through in this Paul, great to watch this develop on the forum. I really like the distant misty horse and trees

Lovely and fresh Paul, I love these panoramic views you paint, well worth the effort of taking your time, I have followed this on the forum 👍🤗

A good job Paul, and great to see your interpretation and take on the photo.

Thank you Anne ,Hillary, Linda and Alan for you kind comments they are really appreciated. I thoroughly enjoyed painting this and I have to admit to enjoying doing it as a work in progress and explaining how and why I made the changes. It made me think rather than just making them.

Lovely work Paul and interesting to follow on the forum.

My eye goes straight through the gate to the horse. Because the light is there and the horse is indistinct it sets the imagination going. I'd like to walk through there right now!

Beautifully painted, love it, Paul.

A really successful painting Dixie which I saw developing on the forum. I like the letterbox shape very much, really suits the scene.

Thank you Denise, Marjorie, Kwok and Tessa, your comments are appreciated. I like these landscape pad , or in this case it was the last sheet of a block. There certainly lend themselves to landscape and seascapes etc. I did use one on end to paint some very long stemmed flowers that a friend wanted for their room , that was quite successful.

A lovely scene, Paul - a breathe of Spring.

Great Paul. Good treatment of the distant mist.

That’s a great composition Paul, well adapted and painted.

Watercolour landscape set in early morning. The initial inspiration came from an on line photograph, I liked the trees , gate and misty field the rest was imagination. I did this as a work in progress on the forum in the hope that people would not be put off from using photographs for inspiration. The thing is is not to follow the slavishly, please look at the forum for the stages of development. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did painting it.

I have sketched most of my life on and off I became interested in watercolour following a spinal injury whilst in hospital but did not follow it up. My eldest daughter bought me a beautiful wooden box set of half pans about twenty five years ago I dabbled on and off until retirement twelve years…
