Challenge very well met Paul and I like the dog and temptation alley very much!

Love the sunshine entering the barn.

I really like this Paul and you have done it so well such great details but not over done just enough to make it all come to life...

This is really lovely Paul, you have captured the light beautifully and love the dog and chickens

Excellent interior scene Paul.

Good one Paul, good use of light and colour.

Thank you all for your kind comments, it always helps and is god when you have other peoples comments it’s so easy to be over critical of our own work, is it a British thing I wonder.

Beautifully done, Paul!

Great feel of interior as well Paul. I can hear those chickens clucking about.

Very well done, love those shadows and sun through the door.

David , John and Andrew thank you for taking the time to comment I really appreciate it.

Some super details in this Paul.

Well done Paul- a lovely scene especially the light through the door.

You obviously have a good sense of humour Paul - very well illustrated 👏

Really good Dixie and I like the way the dog is watching those chickens! Good light and shadow and story telling.

Lovely Paul. I can sense your feeling for wood and old buildings. Can almost smell the dust in the air.

David, Christine, Frank,Tessa and Ruth thank you for you comments I appreciate them.

Delightful interior of the barn and the way the dog is looking at the hens, the beams and brickwork looks amazing with the light beaming through and shadow looming, a lovely painting Paul!

What a lovely scene Paul, so well done. Great light and shadow.

Fantastic Paul, superb drawing and depiction of light and shadow

Nice one Paul.

Angela , Carole, Rachel and Sylvia thank you for your kind comments I appreciate them.

Very well painted Paul

Really good Paul! Like the lightness of the painting and the dog and chickens are great. Can almost feel the dogs anticipation in regard to the chickens.

Delightful scene, Paul, with the collie eyeing up the hens.

George , Brian and Jenny thank you for your comments I appreciated them. The dog was one of the most difficult part of the painting originally the head was in more detail but I decided to pot the shafts of sunlight into the painting. I think it adds a bit more drama as you can’t see the dogs face and it leaves it go the imagination .

Well painted Paul; lovely light.

They all look so natural in their surroundings Paul, you always get that right, whatever you chose as a subject. Everything fits.

Thank you Fiona for your very kind comment .

A super interior scene. Great use of light and lovely details.

A4 watercolour of the interior of a old barn , Jess the sheep dog resting in the sun. I haven’t done the inside of a barn for a very long time and decided to include some animals. I found the dog quite a challenge and keeping the details to a minimum but including the essential structure.
