I love those trees and how you’ve threaded them across each other Dixie, and the cart makes it. Talking of muck, my hubby has just gone with his pal to ‘shovel shit’ as he put it ( for their allotments). 😩

i love your great trees Paul; and it sounds very relaxed:)

How lovely is this, we have someone come down our lane exactly like this!

Delightful subject nicely painted Paul

Love the way you have painted those trees!

This is so earthy and I love those animated trees Paul.

The cart makes it Paul. The trees are good and over all it's made a very nice painting.

Nicely painted Paul 🙂.

Love your trees Paul!

Lovely painting Paul and great trees.

Thank you all for your lovely comments, I love the old trees with ivy growing on them that take on some amazing shapes. Tessa I almost posted it with the tile Shit Cart but decided to behave for a change I get into enough trouble using some terms without writing them.

A great painting Dixie reminds me of a 200 year old farm I helped out on in the 1950s who were still using horse and carts. As an imaginary scene it is a lovely nostalgic idea of those bygone days...

Well Dixie, I did it for you, glad to be of service! 🤭

Thank John and Tessa for your kind comments. Tessa I’m in your debt, I can’t be doing with all this political correctness why can’t we say it as it is or was sometimes as long as it not personal.

Great subject, Paul, and love the trees!

Those ivy covered trees take on a different life don’t they. Good work Paul.

Lovely painting Paul, love your alternative title too

Oh my goodness! Pass the smelling salts I’m having an attack of the vapours! Paul, your previous thought for a title would have been something!😂 Good one.

Nicely done indeed Paul.

Jenny , Andrew , Cheryl, Marjorie and Chris thank you for your very kind comments. Well there is always another day Marjorie might make it yet .

Great imagination!

I agree with Romila - good work, Paul!

Romila and Anne thank you for your comments I appreciate them.

A great painting Paul. It brings back memories of yesteryear!

Thank you Spencer , it reminds me of my childhood living in the countryside in the early nineteen fifties . I used to ride on a plough horse up and down the field as a five year old.

I have sketched most of my life on and off I became interested in watercolour following a spinal injury whilst in hospital but did not follow it up. My eldest daughter bought me a beautiful wooden box set of half pans about twenty five years ago I dabbled on and off until retirement twelve years…
