Celtic Woodland

Comments

Another of your superb paintings, involving trees, Dixie. This is definitely one of your best!!

Nicely done Paul 😊

Beautifully painted , love the colours.

I love woodlands and instantly recognised the lurid green mosses of an ancient wood in your painting. Nicely done Dixie

This is superb Paul. Such delicate work beautifully painted.

David , Stephen, Valerie, Martin and Spencer thank you for you very kind comments. I’m a little disappointed with the gallery photo it’s lost a lot of its intensity compared to the actual painting and what’s on my iPad. It’s probably all the different greens that confuse the pixels or something like that , not been a techi I’m only guessing .

Great mossiness and use of greens!

Love the shapes of the tree and how they are reaching out each other. Lovely use of light Paul.

Thank you Russell , Heather and Carole for you encouraging comments , I appreciate your taking the time to look and comment.

This so well painted Paul- love it

Maureen , Rachel, David and Tanja thank you for you kind comments.

You've handled all those greens so well Paul, especially the moss on the rock.

I especially like the moss on the rock, Paul, very effective.

Thank you Val and Jenny I really appreciate your comments.

It looks a magical scene Dixie. I think you’ve distinguished the different greens and tangled branches very well.

Super painting Paul.

This is very good.I love how you have coped with the greens in the painting

Another nice one. I do like this series of woodland paintings.

Many thanks for you very kind comments, Tessa, Denise, Cecilia and Andrew I really appreciate them.

Here comes your greeney greens Paul lovely 💚

Great work Paul.

Faye and George thank you for you kind comments.

This has worked really well, and is one of your best so far. You've contained a wealth of different greens in one painting, which is very hard to do without them all merging into one grassy stain. Well done, that man!

Lovely old mossy green wood Paul.

Thank you Robert and Carole for you kind comments. I think I used nearly every colour I have that could make a green or pass as green in the shade. There was a lot of impolite words used Robert as at times it didn’t quite work . It was a huge learning curve in mixing greens and attempting to stop it looking one green smudge.

Good one Paul😊

Thank you for your comment and taking time to look Paul.

A23x36 cm watercolour painting of a British Temperate Rainforest. I titled it Celtic Woodland as apparently such woodlands were revered by the Druids . There is a explanation and phots of the stages with more information on the forum.
