Thank you for your comments, Carole, Andrew, David, Alan , Christine and Spencer. So many of these old boats , trucks and buildings were and occasional now left to rot away , I think in general people have and are becoming more aware of the value of keeping history alive.

A4 watercolour using up paint in the pallet, done very quickly , I hate waste. Based on rotting old Thames barges near Hoo, so sad to see but beautiful colours and shapes . One of the barges was used to evacuate troops from Dunkirk it particularly sad when you think of the service it gave or maybe I’m just a sentimental old sod.
