You should be pleased, it's still a lovely rural watercolour

Glad you did not bin it as I like it a lot!! Love the Shepherd's hut as ii adds further interest.

lovely atmosphere and the picture works really well. Think I've been on that road!

Thank you Heather , Davis and Elaine for taking time to look and comment I really appreciate it.

Lots of greens and little sheep cute 🙂

I really like it Paul. I like how you have faded out the distant hills which gives it depth. Lovely composition too. The shepherd looks fine to me too.

An excellent composition Paul with lots of interesting points including the shepherd who also looks fine to me.

Nicely done Paul 😌

Nice composition, and the faded background is a nice touch- sorry you are not happy with it, but it works well.

Faye, David, Chris, Stephen and Andrew thank you for you kind comment. It’s one of those thinks I quite like the painting but all I see when I look is the mistake my eyes go straight to it.

It’s a great watercolour Paul!

Thank you Gillian for your kind comment I appreciate it.

This has turned out beautifully Paul.

I think it's charming. !!

We are so critical of our work aren't we??! It's a peaceful scene and tells a story.

Denise, Gillian and Cathy thank you for your comments I do appreciate them . Ask any artist about a painting and unless they are selling it to you they will pick something out they don’t like

Every picture tells a story, and this certainly does. Good work Dixie.

Thank you Tessa , my youngest granddaughter thought it was great as she spent ten minutes telling me what was happening as was going to happen.

It's very nicely done, Paul especially as mostly from imagination. The hut is great and the shepherd is fine. I particularly like the way the road disappears to go into the valley!

Like it a lot Paul!

Many thanks Spencer, Anne and Romila for you comments they are appreciated.

A lovely scene and story of country life Paul. You’ve put the elements together well and expressed a love of places like this.

A good composition Paul nicely painted.

A watercolour painting on 23x36cm watercolour paper. Used a reference photo for the old farm but altered it to look more derelict. The rest is imaginary, unfortunately I had a problem with the shepherds head , something on the brush prevented me fro applying the paint several attempts to rectify it failed . Decided to post it as opposed to binning it I was and am so frustrated with it all I see is the mistake, I did like it before.
