Super wintry image Paul.

Beautiful scene Paul. An open space we all feel like heading for right now I think.

I agree with you Paul, Britain does have a lot of beautiful countryside from an Asian point of view. You have done a good job expressing it.

Lovely scene Paul, always impressed with how pure you keep your colours.

Thank you all for the kind comments. Katy the one thing I have tried hard to do is keep the colours as pure and translucent as possible. I love watercolour as it lends itself to painting with hardly any colour but still being able to produce a good finish (I hope).

Completely agree Dixie, there are so many lovely parts of Britain, we have it all. Liz and I have painted and travelled the World, but Britain is our favourite

I’d so love to be standing there!

Thank you David, Diana and Tracy for you very kind comments. Like you David I have lived in many different places all over the world, sometimes for a month or so other for two or more years. It was always a pleasure to be on home ground no matter where I had come from, it’s the greens that we have in our countryside and of course the hedgerows etc.

Lovely clean fresh painting, next years Xmas card?

Watercolour on 300gm 20x 50cm watercolour paper. A view across Loch an Eileen looking towards the snow capped mountains with the mist catching the evening sunset. Britain has some of the most beautiful countryside in the world yet we tend to ignore it in favour of overseas places.
