Lovely botanical artwork.

Superb artwork Paul.

Very graceful Paul. It pays to hold your tongue sometimes, rather than get into a lot of trouble.

This good Paul. Lovely flowers. Yes, over the years I’ve often thought ‘did I say that out loud?’ Some things are better left unsaid.

You have achieved depth on the white lilies very nicely.

Nicely done, Paul, the background colour holds it together well.

Superb, Paul - they look beautiful!

They look pretty good to me! Lovely painting Paul.

Many thank for all the very kind comments, I wish you could see the actual painting it looks a little bit sharper then photo, it’s brought our the background rough paper so it looks rough edged here .

A lovely botanical watercolour Paul.

Great work Paul.

Always nice to see a depiction of decay portrayed in art, nice work, Dixie. All a part of life's cycle.

Denise, Andrew, John , Carol and Tanja thank you for your comments they are appreciated.

Beautifully painted Paul

Lovely work and unusual for you Paul. Great story, I’ve lost count of the number of times my wife has given me a kick in order to keep my mouth shut!

Thank you Christine, Valerie and Frank I appreciate your kind comments. You probably have a permanent dent in your shin bone , similar to mine Frank , comes from the frequent kicks .

Beautifully painted, Paul

Absolutely superb Paul

Beautiful Paul, good format for these tall flowers.

Wonderfully balanced piece Paul. Hopefully your neighbour will see it some day and realise how beautiful her flowers were in their faded glory.

This is beautiful Paul. A lovely watercolour.

Carole , John and Gillian thank you for your very kind comments.

Who cares what your neighbour thought you made me laugh! It’s a great subject painted very beautifully Dixie by someone who appreciated them.

Beautiful botanical Paul.

Lesley and Sandra thank you for your much appreciated comments. I could spend all day being amused by my neighbours view on thing , a comedian would has a who set of jokes , the other day she was complaining that her oranges didn’t look orange.

A watercolour of lilies that are starting to fade , inspired by a neighbours flower that she was cross about because they were past the best . Only have beautiful things in my house was the comment , I was given the look by my wife , don’t you dare , would I have , you bet . Think it was the makeup applied with a bricklayers trowel that make me think .

I have sketched most of my life on and off I became interested in watercolour following a spinal injury whilst in hospital but did not follow it up. My eldest daughter bought me a beautiful wooden box set of half pans about twenty five years ago I dabbled on and off until retirement twelve years…
