Unusual colours for you Paul but very pleasing together.

Nice work Dixie. These sailing barges are beautiful things.

I'm hearing the song Paul. Nice work.

Lovely colours, Paul, and interesting subject.

Lovely Paul.

It's nice suggestion of 3 dimensions in here, where you nicely painted foreground, then the boat and have locked it up with far away settled background...

Nicely done Paul.

Thank you all for your very kind comments I appreciate them . I did wonder if someone would pick up on the lyrics Jim, sorry if you now have the tune in your head all day. Your right Marjorie the colours are a bit different from my usual ones.

Lovely sky Paul. I like the way it echoes the colours of the boat and grasses.

Thank you Andrew for you kind comment.

Fine composition Paul, and the reeds in front make the picture work well.

It’s worked a great Paul……really like the palette.

Those colours are so pleasing to the eye Paul. Love those sails.

A good quickie!

Yup I’ve got the song in my head now for the day! Love the painting, I like your composition especially, the way you see the horizontals behind the boat/barge, very good.

Another of your very good boat paintings, Paul. Like the setting of this one!

Thank you all for your very kind comments, it surprise me how these quick painting come together and even more amazing is how well they are received.

Love those colours Dixie.

Thank you Sylvia , I do like the red I often use for sails on the barges .

Yes, Paul, I now do have that song in my ears; my question to you is - how on earth do I get it out again? Good use of left-over paint, though!

oh, very good, i love the colours; and and also the one high-rise building :)

Lovely peaceful image. The shape of the boat is so graceful

Lovely painting Paul, very nicely done

Robert, Tanja, Elaine and Brian thank you for your lovely comments I really appreciate them. The only thing that works Robert is total abstention from alcohol and lots of drinking water, fortunately I can’t remember how the tune went as I’m tone deaf.

This great, I love the colours.

This great, I love the colours.

This great, I love the colours.

Love the colours and tranquility

Thank you Lea and Martin for your comments I appreciate them.

A4 watercolour using up the paint from previous paintings , completed in 35- 40 mins. The inspiration came from looking at some photos of boats in the sunset, I’m not sure if I actually saw this scene but it just sort of happened, something that doesn’t happen that often.
