Lovely picture Paul. Know what you mean about waste paint but I tend to re-use common colours on the 'next' picture. Plastic palettes are quite forgiving. 😁

Lovely piece Paul!

Another good one, Dixie.

Lovely boat Paul

A super boat Paul especially as it only took you thirty minutes!

Andrew , Guy, David and Heather thanks you for you very kind comments.

Lovely painting

Good one Paul especially only 30 mins work.

Well painted Paul.

Anne , Christine and Stephen thank you for taking the time to look and comment.

Its so lovely I love it.!!!

Thank you for your comment Valerie I really appreciate it.

Very good quick painting Paul, well observed. The houses in the background set the scale nicely.

I think sometimes quick is good for a change at least, and gets you to concentrate on the essentials. A really nice painting and I like the addition of pen.

George and Tessa many thanks for your comments. I tend to work in some details as you know Tessa it’s good to occasionally just go for it , the pen was a last minute decision.

You don't have to be a Yorkshire man to be tight-fisted.... it was said of a distant relative of mine that when she opened her purse, bats flew out: a characteristic I've inherited. A good thirty minutes' work there.

That was 30mins very well spent Paul. I like that sky!

Love this! :)

Great result Paul!

A4 watercolour, using the back of a old painting and the left over paint in the pallet. I did this in thirty minutes to use up the paint, been a Yorkshire man and a bit tight fisted ( literally due to hand problems) I hate waste . I set my self the target of using in in a very quick painting it’s great fun and I learn quite a lot from it . I used a pen to outline the boat etc.

I have sketched most of my life on and off I became interested in watercolour following a spinal injury whilst in hospital but did not follow it up. My eldest daughter bought me a beautiful wooden box set of half pans about twenty five years ago I dabbled on and off until retirement twelve years…
