A lovely still life.

How pretty every day objects can be Diana. Thos strawberries look so luscious and I love the shadow of the colander showing some of the holes. A beautiful work of art.

Now that is one special painting Diana .

Beautiful Diana; very skilfully painted, especially the colander.

Fabulous realism from the kitchen. Lovely work as ever.

The strawberries look so juicy, the colander so well painted. I particularly like the small details you achieve like the small little white bits of light in the holes of the colander.

What a beautiful painting!! Great talent you have..

Just beautiful, Diana. All those little touches of light. And it’s lovely, as Carole says, that we can appreciate the beauty in the “ ordinary”.

Wonderful reflections Diana.

Super succulent strawberries, Diana! Delicious painting!

Wonderful watercolour Diana. Love those washes.

Thanks David. I’m pleased you like it Thank you Carole. I agree. There’s beauty in unexpected places. I loved those holes too. Thank you Sylvia. I really appreciate your encouraging words. Thank you Karen. The colander had such a variety of reflected colour. Thank you Jim. I never fail to see something illuminated in light in my kitchen… far more interesting that cooking! Thank you Christine. I love that you saw those little highlights. Thank you Romila. That’s such a lovely compliment. There is so much talent and passion here on PO Thank you Marjorie. I didn’t think I’d be able to paint strawberries but I’m happy that the result hasn’t spoiled the overall piece. Thank you Lynn. The wooden draining board I have a lot of my subjects on is an absolute nightmare to paint!! Thank you Linda. When I was a child, strawberries were such a treat as only available a few weeks a year.

Thank you Spencer. I loved the tonal variety in the colander. Thank you Anne. I liked the highlight in that shadow. Thank you very much Lea. Thank you Russell. They were particularly rich in scent and flavour. Thank you Denise. It’s so motivating to receive your complimentary feedback. Thank you Dympna I enjoy working on a variety of tight and looser sections

Superb piece, Diana. Your treatment of the reflective surface of the colander is excellent.

Now that's a Diana Boanas, super, catch that colander with a spoon & it will ring.

An accomplished watercolour. The way you have painted the metal is especially good.

Brilliant colander and shade.
