Warming up exercise

Love the palette and the sweeping strokes, Diana and the light below the clouds satisfies the perspective so well -really nice.

A somewhat bleak view reminiscent of moorland a la Brontes Diana, but really well done.

A very nice warm up indeed!

I love bleak Jim. 😂 Thank you Willie. I’m reverting back to the time I was a complete beginning and just enjoyed the paint without any expectation

Lovely painting Diana, it’s good to just put the paint in sometimes and not feel pressured to do it a certain way.

I love this! The sky is superb against the foreground!

Such a cry to nature Briana. Love the wildness about it.

Thank you Paul. It’s very liberating and expressive. Thank you David. I find so much emotion in the dark , dramatic skies Thank you Carole. Maybe I’m feeling a bit wild at the moment!

I really like the drama in this Diana.

This is my kind of watercolour Diana…..the subject, the palette and the mood. Fabulous.

This is so much more than a warm up. I really love the palette and composition Diana

Even your warming up exercise is great😊.

Thank you David. I love the drama of turbulent skies. Thanks Fiona. That’s such a compliment and boosted my morale. Thank you Audrey. Maybe warm ups are more expressive without the expectation. I often think that a painting that’s taken a few minutes can’t compare with one that needed days to complete. Thank you Romila. Maybe my warming up pieces are truly me!!

Masterly.

What a lovely compliment Shirley. A pleasure to receive

Watercolour on Bockingford. Rather than starting cold on a more complex piece, I’m enjoying exploring brushwork and colour to warm up. Sometimes the warm ups don’t progress to anything else but I’m happy having no expectations for now.
