I really like your watercolour, also you some lovely work in your gallery Diana.

Love the smattering of light amidst the dark shadows Diana and that lovely arch and inner door.

Great light in this , you must be pleased with this, love it.

Beautiful contrast between sunlight and shadow parts, Diana. Great!

Though not usual subject for you, the result is very good, Diana.

Love the shadows and the colour palette, you can paint anything, Diana.

Lovely transparency and range of tones.

I'm always impressed how you light your subjects. This is another splendid example.

Great tones and composition Diana.

Thank you Hannah. I’m pleased you like them. Thank you Carole, Fred, Mia, Cesare, Annick , Stephen S , Stephen K and Michael. I appreciate all your comments. I really can’t take the credit for the light and composition. That goes to my tutor and his photograph. My weekly class gives me the opportunity to tackle subjects I would normally shy away from ( the group are well aware of my feelings towards painting boats and architecture) 😄. All good practice though and I did enjoy painting this doorway

Looks like the Alhambra Palace in Granada, Diana (although Moorish archetecture still remains in many parts of Andalusia) and you've done a good job of catching it. I've been to Granada three times and the Alhambra is almost too perfect to catch in photographs or paint. A magical place. Nice work.

David Ygomas , my tutor took the photograph Jim. You’ve got a good memory. It looks like any old facade to me 😄

Beautiful

Really nice Diana

Another masterpiece.

Thank you Olga, Paul, Margaret and Linda. These comments are all much appreciated.

Beautifully painted, Diana, love the colours and sunny feel to it. (Think it does us all good now and then to tackle subjects we wouldn't usually choose. Are you going to have a go at the April forum challenge?)

Thank you Jenny. Your right about moving out of our comfort zones. I’ll have a look at that challenge.
