The Cage, Lyme Park. Latest online sale, just dispatched to a buyer who lives within walking distance of this subject. Sorry to see this one go, it reminded me of the day when I painted it in the teeth of a bitterly cold hilltop wind. Unusually, I retreated to the cafe below after the watercolour washes, and put the details in with ink, with a warming coffee.
