Great colour choices that work very well.

Lovely watercolor and great greens David!

A really good painting, like it a lot.

Good strong use of colour David.

A restful scene well captured lovely palette.

Thank you all for those positive comments. It's really heartening to know that an ordinary bit of typical British countryside can be so appreciated by people other than me!

Lovely painting of these trees and landscape, the colours look fabulous!

Beautifully painted David.

A rare outdoor painting session on my local patch, after a summer of travelling and sketchbooking. I wanted to capture the feel of the strong backlighting, whilst keeping some tone and texture in the tree trunks, without making them black silhouettes. More green than I normally use but I think W & N Green Gold looks a natural English green, and it is used here in mixes with Winsor Yellow, Burnt Sienna and French Ultramarine.
