Ar Ruth has said, the colou r has given life to your sketch. I often regret adding colour to my sketches, I add too much but this works very well.

This is great, David. Loved the pen drawing but this added a lot of atmosphere to it. Love the limited palette.

I have put washes on my pen sketch, using a limited palette of raw & burnt siennas, ultramarine and burnt umber, similar to Edward Wesson’s. Although Wesson painted many places around Chichester Harbour, I’ve never seen any of Sidlesham by him, surprisingly.
