Towards Alderley Edge in April showers
How do you tell a genuine outdoor painting this year? From the rain spots in the sky wash! Something I never do is revisit a poor painting to try and improve it but on this occasion I was rained off after the sky wash so I returned to the same spot the next week to complete the picture in overcast, but dry, weather. Not for exhibition but it’s an evocative reminder of the experience of outdoor painting.
