Gorgeous palette David and a smashing watercolour despite the shower.

Lovely painting, David.

Beautiful painting, David.

I love this painting. The palette is wonderful and the rain spots add character and s sort of genuine feel.

Very good, in fact one of your best David.

Really excellent work. Great that you left natures' addition to your painting (the raindrops), a vivid reminder of the time you spent there.

I don't do a lot of writing because I am dyslexic. but I love this painting.

Really love this. If van Gogh can have his grasshopper, I'm sure everyone will excuse a few raindrops!

And I'd marked this one down as a "failure" ! Thank you all so much for those kind words that justify my belief in painting outdoors in all weathers, even if the results are just a "reminder". Better than any photo, though.

Great colours David.

How do you tell a genuine outdoor painting this year? From the rain spots in the sky wash! Not for exhibition but it’s an evocative reminder of the experience of outdoor painting.
