Southwold Harbour Mouth, Afternoon Light
On the way home, I was struck by the difference in appearance from lower down the beach at low tide. The metal stanchions seemed to overlap and merge into a solid wall, and the distant outline of Sizewell became more obvious. I have painted Sizewell larger than life to balance the picture, after all Turner magnified some of his Yorkshire waterfalls to increase their impact, didn't he?
