Thank you all for those encouraging comments. Stephen, Middlewood is a village between Poynton and High Lane. the towpath walk is attractive all the way from Marple to Macclesfield.

Thanks, David, I must have a look around there. I have some friends who live in Marple and have taken some photos of the canal there. A lovely area.

Moored at Middlewood. One of two local watercolour landscapes just sold to a buyer who regularly walks the area where I paint outdoors. Very satisfying.
