Some rather good pen work going on here DB. I'm not a great fan of cross-hatching, I prefer single direction lines but that stems back to my college days when it was frowned upon. Saying that, you have succeeded to some degree in creating the illusion of depth, a good sketch and well done that man!

A4, my first go with some fineliners I just bought and my first pen sketch. I have done a fair bit of pencil work recently and I figured it cant be much different to draw with a pencil and then shade with pen and rub out the pencil lines after... so this is the result of that.

Inspired by an artist friend I came back to paint a bit at the end of 2017. At the moment I am enjoying it and maybe because I have the patience to look more than I once did I am finding it easier and more enjoyable to actually produce a likeness.
