A4 of Bjork, in coloured pencils which just arrived in the post. I didn't go overboard and just bought a set of 24 (I can fully understand why sets with 120 shades+ are popular) anyway this video of her is lit in a way that you can hardly see where she begins and ends and I think watercolour or coloured pencils really are the mediums for soft edges so I thought I would give it a go. She has this strange red make up, which is lucky really because I am not sure I could have done realistic flesh tones using orange and brown.

Inspired by an artist friend I came back to paint a bit at the end of 2017. At the moment I am enjoying it and maybe because I have the patience to look more than I once did I am finding it easier and more enjoyable to actually produce a likeness.
