Quite a trick, looking regal in just a hat, gloves and knickers - but, with a little help from you, Sophia has pulled it off. As it were. By the way, is Sophia L not still with us?

Yeah she is, and to be fair she hasn't aged badly (unlike Bardot) but it is past tense that she was that kind of beautiful that made your heart skip a beat.

From the film, an A5 acrylic. I thought I was just blocking out the colours but decided it looked OK without refining it.

Inspired by an artist friend I came back to paint a bit at the end of 2017. At the moment I am enjoying it and maybe because I have the patience to look more than I once did I am finding it easier and more enjoyable to actually produce a likeness.
