Excellent drawing, David. Good luck with your planned life drawing sessions. I don't suppose for one moment it will be easy, but you're starting from a good place.

A3 4h and 3b pencils. This was from a copyright free photo but I look forwards to doing some like this from life. I wonder how less exacting my technique will have to become when faced with a time pressure not present when you have a photo reference.

Inspired by an artist friend I came back to paint a bit at the end of 2017. At the moment I am enjoying it and maybe because I have the patience to look more than I once did I am finding it easier and more enjoyable to actually produce a likeness.
