Lovely picture Carole.

The flower heads are lovely and the jug has such lovely light on it.

Beautiful Carole, you have done a lovely job.

Thank you so much Stephen Christine and Denise for your lovely comments. They are always appreciated.

An interesting variation of colours on the flower heads and the simple lines of the jug make a good contrast- good work, Carole!

Lovely work Carole.

This is lovely, Carole. I like the splash of light on the jug.

I just don’t get on with black paper Carole, it’s such a ‘dead’ colour in many respects…but you’ve made a great job here!

I like it Carole

I love the colours Carole. Suits the black

Thank you so much Anne, Bob, Carol, Coral, Heather, Alan and Martin for your positive, encouraging comments, very much appreciated.I agree that black paper is a challenge and it is difficult to get any intensity of colour. I’m going to have another go using a different coloured paper to see what happens.

Lovely pastel work Carole, that jug positively shines.

Beautiful 😍 love hydrangeas but I can never seem to keep them alive 🫤

Very nicely done Carole. I especially like the leaves.

I like this. The colours really pop against the black background.

Many thanks to you lovely people Val, Spencer, Fay, David and Bobbie for all your encouragement. You keep me going and we all need to be motivated at times.

Very impressive.

Gorgeous colours Carole!

Lovely work Carole, the dark background works really well

Thank you Fiona and Frank for such positive comments.

Your flower paintings are lovely Carole.

A lovely piece Carole. The way you have filled the black paper works really well, and the colours are lovely.

Thanks a lot Marjorie, Shaun and Tessa for your kind comments. Wasn’t keen on using this black paper as it didn’t take layers very well but it’s good to try different surfaces to discover whate suits the individual. Have a good weekend all 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌞🌞🌞

Well done, love the light on the jug and the variation of colours in flowers. Black background working so well !

An unusually mute-coloured painting for you, but I guess that's the issue with the black player not allowing layering, but a lovely colouring and almost sensual imaging of the Jug. Lovely! Much love and God bless 😀🙏🕊🙂♥️🌹

Thank you Romila and Andrew. I agree with you Andrew. Don’t think I’ll be using black paper again in a hurry. Have a lovely weekend🌈🌈🌈🌞🌞🌞God bless.

Lovely rich colours Carole.

Picked these from the garden as most of the heads were devoid of petals. Trying out black paper but it’s very linear and resists layering. Soft pastels and pencils 9” x 12”.
