I do like your style Mick and this one really drew my attention - great use of warm colours in the foreground.

Your paintings always stand apart on the gallery. Love this one too ! First this morning worthy of a comment...... Keep up the "fooling" around!

Thanks for the visits and comments All. best Mick

What colours do you use, Mick? They work so well and have your 'signature'. Love the sky.

Thanks for the visit and comment Caroline. No idea what colours I use, I tend to just pick up the colour that I fancy will suit the painting, and any colour theme I may fancy. Mainly cool and warm greys, some yellows, autumn browns, ochres, siennas, oranges and hot reds. Sorry that I can't be more specific than that, but I am very undiciplined and other painters tore their hair out if they watched me at art societies and I used to reduce any 'expert' we may have had to tears. best Mick

Your paintings have movement and life - would that all did.....! Not easy to identify individual colours in pastel, is it? I'd be interested to know how you get your dark darks, though - black, carbon, charcoal? The whole picture really hinges on them here.

Thanks for the visit and comment Robert. The blacks would be a straight black pastel, just black I think in the Rowney range, + the charcoal pencil, and perhsaps Faber-Castell Pitt pastel pencills, 199 - black, and 175 - dark sepia. best Mick
