Really nice, Mick, especially the atmospheric sky. Is it me or is the big cottage a bit skew-wiff....leaning to the left? I like the way you've indicated the cliffs so simply but very effectively.

Thanks for the visit and comment Caroline, Yep, the cottage is a bit cockeyed, I wasn't really interested in architectural exactitude, especially as many of the cottages on the Norfolk coast are slipping over the edge. best Mick

Lovely work Mick super colours and the size of the cottages seems to work perfectly in this painting and you are right of course coastal errosion seems to be just about the only growth market in this country these days!

An awful lot of buildings where I am - the south east coast of the Isle of Wight - are distinctly skew-wiff; because on Niton Undercliff and the area of Blackgang Chine, the coast has been moving historically: and the very wet weather recently has made this worse.... So I'm extremely familiar with this sort of scene, and hanging on to anything that looks at all solid.... (they say this house stands on a rock; very comforting; but, er, what's the rock standing on?). Atmospheric picture, then, and a comment on the environment at the same time.

Thanks for the visit and comment, Robert. best Mick

Lovely composition, textures and use of colours. The buildings don't worry me. It's a painting!

Thanks for the visit and comment Gudrun. best Mick
