Painting inspired by the doodles from my last upload, the sketchbook page. I lost my way several times with this, scrubbed it out with a large, hog bristle brush, and started again. I'm still not happy, but I ain't gonna fool around wiv it anymore. I think the left hand bushes and fence posts are unlikely, probably the foreground tones ain't strong enough. Rowney soft and hard pastels, Derwent standard and tinted charcoal, Faber-Castell Pitt pastel pencils, plain HB pencil, dip pen and Indian ink, on Clairefontaine pastelmat, sienna, original image size 15"x11" nominal.
