Hi Mick this is a lovely pen and pastel drawing works really well and so different to your past postings, love all the different penwork!

I love the feel of this one as well as the composition and colours; angular somehow.

I like the busy-ness in this one Mick and the colours :)

Love this one Mick.......great colours and blocky appearance.

Thanks for the visits and comments All. best Mick

After Georges Braque, and a Cezanne I found. GB did a number of pics of this aroud 1907-08, sometimes only showing the distant, above the viaduct houses, sometimes only showing the nearer ones, I decided to steal a lesson and join 2 together. I chose a selection of sepias, ochres and raw umber, from Rowney soft pastels, Derwent standard charcoal and tinted charcoal, Faber-Castell Pitt pastel pencil, and Faber-Castell Pitt drawing pens, fine, sepia and black Indian in. The lightest light is sepia tint 1 Rowney soft pastel, the darkest dark, besides the charcol and Indian ink, is Faber-Castell Pit pastel pencil, 175 dark sepia. On Clairefontaine pastelmat, buttercup, original image size9"x9" nominal.
