Haven't seen the full painting yet but I really like this detail from it.

Thanks again, Val! I've just read your comment about the full painting and appreciate both visits. I've added a touch more turquoise to the lake, especially in the foreground. Many thanks again. Bri

I think this works really well Bri, and has brought out the contrast very successfully. It looks a lovely sunny and peaceful scene.

I love how you have made the whole scene glow even more and captured the beauty of this place through light and colour Brian.

Thanks for getting back, Tessa, to comment on this detail. Appreciated. Since posting this detail I've added a touch more turquoise, just a smidgen, to give the lake a helping hand, and have added a few highlights here and there. I won't post the final version because there's not that much difference. Thanks again Bri

Thank you once again, Carole, for a super visit to this piece. Always appreciated. Since posting this detail I've added a touch more turquoise to the lake to give the water a lift. There's not much in it but from a distance it's apparent. Bri

Lovely Brian. Thank you for showing the detail!!

Agree with all other comments, lovely

A lovely composition and well painted landscape. Has a superb pallette you have used.

The original post must have slipped by me, I had to have a look at the full painting. Top work.

Thank you very much, David, Heather, Chris and Lewis, for the generous comments and encouragement. Genuinely appreciated. I'm really pleased you liked this effort. Best to all Bri

This is a detail of the original to try and show how the rocks and water actually aren't the same colour. The original posting suggested that they were. I might just add a touch more green to the lake to eradicate the issue. (smile)
