Beautifully free Barry, I know how much you love that scene!

Thank you Karen.

Lively piece Barry and not a bad warm up.... I particularly like the dark reflections which seems to anchor the whole thing.

I love that beautiful mix of darks in the front and the reflections on the water Lovely tranquil scene

Thank you Alan and Diana, I agree the dark areas do work well and it's the part of the painting I like best.

Warming up? I would be over the moon with this as a finished work of art. I like the Autumn feel with the warm red brown and against dark bare branches Barry.

Lovely work Barry.

I should think you could run a marathon after this warm up Barry! Lovely harmonious palette.

Many thanks to Carole, Jim and Pete, I have to admit that warm up paintings often work very well as I tend to work more freely with less constraints.

Great warm up Barry....as others have said those darks are wonderful.

Lovely painting Barry.Iparticularly like the sky and the main tree. Also nice marks in the bottom right denoting the river bank and reflections.

Lovely work Barry, the main tree is perfectly placed, it would be hard to improve on this 'warm up' I feel.

Thanks to Dennis, Fiona, Peter, Margaret and Stephen for your comments.
