Well, Barry, I think it works well, love the palette. I f I may just make one comment about the shadows on the distant part of the road being a little dark as there doesn't seem to be anything casting a large shadow...but then, what on earth do I know...it's gorgeous sunlight all the same!

I took a photo of Dedham Vale several years ago of some farm buildings and trees that caught my eye. Although I loved the photo I could never visualise a painting from it, this is a constructed scene using the buildings and trees but completely changing the surrounding area and colour palette. Was flying by the seat of my pants for a while but got there in the end.
