Beautiful wet in wet and one day I shall go in the footsteps of the masters here [love Edward Seago's watercolours of Chioggia!] Looks so simple...I know only too well it isn't. A masterful touch here, Barry!

Thank you Thalia, probably silly to choose this subject in the footsteps of many great painters but it has an irresistible charm.

A good effort with this tricky subject Barry, I know as I tried to paint the same view some time ago, couldn't get it right!

A lovely watercolour Barry, everything well painted. I like the way you leave the white of the paper for the lights and don't use masking fluid, the light just sings.

Great colours Barry. The buildings in Venice are very challenging because of the way they lean towards the water but you have made a wonderful job of these.
